Chamber gears up for fall events

As August is coming to a close, I would like to remind the community of three main events that the chamber has going on that will kick-off the fall season. Fall is a time when we see the community really coming together to celebrate each other and to celebrate the many blessings in life with family and loved ones.

The Chamber Coat Closet is quickly approaching and we want to give the children who are less fortunate an opportunity to enjoy this season just as much as most of us do. Everyone has walked outside in the cool weather without a jacket and can easily turn around and walk back inside to grab one. The chamber would like to give this opportunity for everyone in Sampson County. If you or a business you know would like to sponsor the Chamber’s Coat Closet, or if you have a lot of old coats hanging around the house, please contact the chamber for more information.

Another event that will get the community in the fall spirit is our CycleNC event coming Oct. 6. With over 1,200 guests visiting Sampson County, we really want to make them feel welcome and feel the Sampson County hospitality. Come on out to the Alive After Five event that night featuring not just one but two bands that night. This is going to be an event you do not want to miss!

Most of you are familiar with Small Business Saturday, but this year we have put a new label on it. Get out in about on Saturday, Nov. 26, for Shop Small Saturday and shop locally in Sampson County. Come out and show your support to our local small businesses and get to know them and why they made Sampson County their home for their dream stores.

The chamber is getting back into gear and we are here to support our local businesses. For any information regarding these events and how to help volunteer, donate, or sponsor, please do not hesitate to contact us at 910-592-6177 or by email at
