Reflecting on Chamber memories

As I sit down to write my last Chamber Chat as the Clinton Sampson Chamber of Commerce executive director, I cannot help but to be overwhelmed with joy and appreciation. I can remember when I sat down to write my very first Chamber Chat two and a half years ago. I was filled with joy and excitement then too. Reflecting on my past few years at the Chamber, I smile knowing that I have made some great friends and relationships along the way. I could not be more appreciative of this opportunity in my life and it is one that I will always hold close to my heart. This community really showed me their support while I was here and I will forever be grateful for that. My husband and I are truly blessed to be able to call Sampson County our home.

Looking into the rest of the 2018 year, I have full faith that the Chamber will be in great hands with the new incoming Director, Allison Strickland. She is very passionate about Sampson County and making it a better place not only to live, but to work. Allison will do great things in taking this Chamber and Business community forward in her time here. I encourage all of you to stop by and meet her and give her that big and warm Sampson County welcome!

I am excited for Allison to continue with the Chamber Matching Grant Program, Adult and Junior Leadership Programs, Community Events, Networking Opportunities, Seminars and much more. I encourage Chamber Members to continue to support one another, get involved within the Chamber and take advantage of these networking opportunities. I have seen businesses grow as they were involved in the Chamber so I am a true believer that we really can accomplish more together than one could individually.

As I close this chapter and begin my new chapter at WoodmenLife, I encourage you to give me a call if I can ever be of assistance. As each of you that also call Sampson County home, we strive to see great things happen and we can only do that by working together.

Again, I encourage you to stop by and visit Allison as she begins her role on July 2nd. For more information about the Clinton-Sampson Chamber of Commerce, visit or call 910-592-6177. As always, I encourage you to get involved and let the Chamber work for you!
