King reception a success

It has been three great weeks here at the Chamber for me. I have been super busy and active over the past weeks, but that is the way I like it! There are still a few things that I am learning, but please do not hesitate to stop by, call or email me with any questions because it could be a learning experience for you and for me. I encourage any and all questions.

On behalf of the Chamber Board of Directors, the members and our Multi-Cultural Business Committee I would like to give a big thank you to everyone who came out to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The program was a reminder to us all of the impactful life that Dr. King lived. We had wonderful volunteers to reenact a sit-in that took place at a lunch counter in Greensboro in 1960. I would also like to say a huge thank you to our speakers and volunteers that helped us create our 16th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Business Reception. It was a success!

Please come out and join us for our Member of the Week on Jan. 25 at Southwood Nursing/Retirement Center. It starts at 10:30 a.m. and they are located in Clinton.

Do not forget to join us next Thursday for our Business After Hours at the Sampson County Exposition Center. Come eat, drink and socialize. If you have not already, this is the perfect opportunity to meet the Sampson County Convention and Visitors Bureau Director Sheila Barefoot as well as myself. A good time is to be had by all!

For any information about the Chamber or the events and opportunities that we offer, I encourage you to contact us at 910-592-6177, visit us at 414 Warsaw Road, Clinton, or email us at
