Officials with the Clinton-Sampson Chamber of Commerce and the Sampson County Agri-Exposition Center are all about showcasing local businesses. In a continuing effort to do just that, the two groups have brought back the Sampson County Business Expo.
The expo, a one-day trade show, is designed as an opportunity for businesses to showcase their goods, products, and services. This event will be held Nov. 5 at the Sampson County Exposition Center and is free to the general public.
The deadline to rent booth space at the November event is quickly approaching. Event coordinators are asking all businesses interested in renting a booth space to contact the Chamber office, 910-592-6177, or the Exposition Center, 910-592-6451, for more information.
“This is an excellent opportunity to further market and promote your business to a captive audience,” noted Clinton-Sampson Chamber of Commerce director Laura Deans and Sampson County Exposition Center director Ray Jordan in a letter sent to local business recently.
“This exciting event will offer the opportunity for you to not only promote your business, but it will also be an excellent time to offer and sell products, to offer specials or to promote unique items and merchandise,” the letter reads.
According to Deans and Jordan, the Business Expo will be open to the public from 1:30-8 p.m. The event times are scheduled to help provide access to potential customers during hours that do not conflict their normal work schedules in an effort to place more potential customers in front of those businesses which are participating.
In addition to the expo, a Business After Hours event will be hosted by Liberty Hospice, Mary Gran and Southwood Nursing Centers from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Nov. 5. This extra event, coordinators say, will provide additional opportunity for networking and expanding local businesses in a social setting.
Event coordinators say they are expecting a complete sellout of the event, with only space for the rental of 70 booths. If anyone is interested in reserving a booth for the Business Expo, they should contact the Chamber office or Exposition Center. There is a cost for booth rental. Spaces are 10 foot by 8 foot. Deadline to purchase a space is Sept. 25.
