Larinda Haight, outgoing chairwoman of the Sampson Community College Board of Trustees, will trade places with Chuck Spell, who was voted in as the new 2026-27 chairman. Haight was unanimously approved to serve as the vice chairwoman of the trustee board. SCC President Dr. Bill Starling will remain as secretary.
