Janet Dunn, who has been serving the Town of Roseboro as interim clerk, swears in Michelle Lance, Roseboro’s new town clerk along with her husband and daughter during last week’s meeting. At the end of the August meeting, the Roseboro Board of Commissioners, along with Town Attorney Sandy Sanderson, held a brief closed session regarding personnel matters, and upon returning to open session hired Michelle Lance for its town clerk and town administrator. First on the agenda for the Sept. 8 town meeting was swearing in Lance, who declined to comment on her new role.
