The 118th homecoming celebration at Cedar Point will be Sept. 13. The theme is Behold, the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. Attire for the day is overalls, jeans, bonnets and long skirts. The New Church

Shady Grove’s youth will sponsor a special message from Kyle and Kristy Cashwell at the 11 a.m. service on Aug. 30. Kyle is a paramedic on the Sampson EMS who was seriously injured in Oct. 2014. They will tell of the miracles performed by God as Kyle struggled to recover and Kristy stood by his side through the trials. There will be a covered dish meal following the service. Snow Hill FWB Church invites youth, from ages two through high school, to be a part of the Awana program.
