For the first time this season, Mintz Christian Academy’s soccer team was forced to settle for a draw, finishing 2-2 against Liberty Christian Academy on Monday.
The Lions and Knights battled evenly throughout the contest, each answering the other’s offensive pushes. Mintz showed strong energy early and kept up their defensive effort to hold off several late scoring attempts from Liberty as time wound down.
The result moves Mintz to 3-7-1 overall and 2-4-1 in conference play as they continue to find their rhythm late in the season.
Mintz will look to build momentum on Tuesday when they travel to face the Liberty Christian Academy Heat at 4 p.m.
