The Mintz Christian Academy volleyball team wrapped up its regular season on a high note Monday, Oct. 20, with a strong showing against Cornerstone Christian Academy.
Despite missing starting libero McKenzie Street due to injury, the Lady Lions’ offense found its rhythm early and maintained control throughout the match.
Head coach Dan Heinz praised both his team’s performance and the growth of their opponent.
“Cornerstone is a much improved team, and I am glad to see that for their program and the conference,” Heinz said.
“Our girls once again played very well and had the offense clicking, even with McKenzie Street, our libero, being out with an injury. It was a good final warmup for our trip to Ohio for the National Christian School tournament beginning Thursday. We are excited to play at the John R. Wooden Arena at the Athletes in Action Complex in Xenia, Ohio.”
Mintz now turns its focus to the National Christian School Tournament, where it will represent North Carolina on the national stage later this week.
