The Sampson Middle Dark Horses captured the conference championship in dominant fashion Thursday night, blanking the Hobbton Wildcats 30-0 at Dark Horses Stadium. It marked the first time all season the Wildcats had been shut out or defeated, as the Horses delivered a complete performance on both sides of the ball.

The victory also served as redemption for Sampson Middle, which fell to Hobbton earlier this year in a non-conference matchup. With the win, the Dark Horses successfully defended their crown, having also defeated the Wildcats in last year’s championship game.

A full game recap and highlights will be featured in Saturday’s issue of The Sampson Independent.
