Harrells Christian Academy senior Antonio McKoy officially etched his name into program history last Friday night, eclipsing the 2,000-point mark for his varsity career and being recognized in front of the home crowd during halftime.

McKoy, a multi-year staple for the Crusaders, reached the milestone through a scoring resume built on both perimeter shooting and aggressive play in the paint. The senior reflected on the moment with gratitude and humility.

“It feels great to be able to accomplish that. It means a lot to me,” McKoy said. “Having people with me, supporting me, and having a great coaching staff means a lot to me.”

When asked about the ball from the 2,000-point basket, McKoy did not hesitate.

“I’ll give it to my mom and my grandma,” he said. “My mom got one, and my grandma got one.”

McKoy also shared that while the individual milestone is special, his focus remains on the ultimate team goal for his final season.

“To win a state championship,” he said.

The senior standout was showered with support not only from the Harrells community, but from across Sampson County, as several fans remained in the gym following the game to acknowledge the achievement.

“It feels great to have all of them come out and support us, support me, and cheer us on,” McKoy added. “That means a lot to me.”

Crusaders head coach Clayton Hall has previously praised McKoy’s complete offensive game, pointing to his rare ability to score both inside and outside as a major reason he was able to reach the historic mark.

With postseason play approaching and a state title still in sight, McKoy’s milestone serves as both a personal triumph and a reminder that his story with Harrells Christian Academy is not finished yet.
