HCA is pleased to announce that former NFL running back and Superbowl Champion, Willie Parker, will host and coach a speed camp at Harrells Christian Academy.
Parker is most notably known for the Superbowl record-setting touchdown run of 75 yards in the third quarter of Superbowl XL. He played college ball at the University of North Carolina, and high school ball at Clinton High School. Ever since, he has been committed to giving back to the area.
This camp is designed to improve the speed and agility of all student athletes. The camp will be instructed by Willie Parker and his training staff. The event will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2015, on the Harrells Christian Academy practice football field.
The camp will begin at 9 a.m., and it will end just after 12 noon. This camp is available to rising 7th-12th grade girls and boys. Student athletes from outside the HCA community are welcome to attend as well.
“Please feel free to spread the word and bring a friend,” said Harrells Christian Academy in a statement.
The cost of the camp is $70 per camper. Registration and money will be collected on the morning of the camp.
Feel free to notify or contact Clayton Hall through e-mail, at email@example.com, if you or a friend are planning to attend.
Coach Hall plans on giving Parker a guesstimate of how many campers to expect sometime this week.
The camp’s mission statement is, “FWP Speed School aims to train and empower student athletes to achieve their personal goals in sports and beyond. By focusing on stamina, strength, and speed with professional trainers, athletes will learn to do what it takes to achieve their goals at a high level on and off the field or court.”
