Hobbton’s Josh Polk jets past his competition during a meet earlier in the season. The Hobbton track and field team competed at the NC Runners Eastern Tour No. 3 meet at Trask High School Thursday. With the weather the coldest the Wildcats have faced all year and a lot of their top athletes held back, they still performed well overall. Josh Polk won the 400-meter dash and qualified for regionals. Additionally, Shalaya Bell placed fourth in the high jump, Alexis Morrisey placed third in the discus and the men and women’s 4x800m relay teams each placed fourth.
