The Lady Dark Horses of Clinton High went to battle against the Lady Leopards of Lakewood on Wednesday, the Horses coming away with the resounding, 9-0 win.

The game was never really close. Clinton dominated on defense, while turning that into offense. Several Dark Horses scored multiple goals. Ashlyn Williams scored three goals for Clinton. Taylor Spell, also had a prolific night on offense, with two goals and two assists. Isabella Faison and Kayla Yang scored a combined three goals.

The last remaining goal for the Horses came from Zebria Vann. Jessica Parker also finished the day with two assists. Faison, Elizabeth Coleman, Ruthie Brock and Olivia Williford each had one assist in Clinton’s dominating offensive performance.

The loss brings the Lady Leopards to 0-2 for the year, while Clinton moves to 3-3-1.

The Lady Dark Horses are next in action on Friday when they travel to Swansboro High School. Lakewood was to face off against the Rebels of North Duplin High School on Thursday.
