The Union Spartans and Midway Raiders both took to the road on Friday for baseball, softball and soccer. Union went toe to toe with North Duplin while the blue and white battled against the Bulldogs of Wallace-Rose Hill.
The Union baseball team managed to take the win 2-1, bringing them to 8-8 overall and 4-5 in the conference. The Rebels took the soccer match, shutting down the Spartans, 3-0. The soccer team is still searching for its first win of the season, currently standing at 0-11 overall, 0-9 in conference. Softball scores for Union were not available at press time.
Each Union squad will face off against county rival Lakewood at home on Tuesday.
The Raiders soccer team was able to take home the win against the Bulldogs, shutting out Wallace on the road, 4-0.
They take their record to 8-5-1 overall and 4-4 in conference. The scores for baseball and soccer were not immediately available. All three teams will also battle a county next week, traveling to take on the Dark Horses of Clinton.
