The Midway Lady Raiders swept the Wallace-Rose Hill Bulldogs at Wallace on Tuesday night. It was the first conference loss of the year for Wallace.

The JV Lady Raiders also won, only needing two sets.

Logan Baggett and Maddie Royal had big games for the JV team, as they led their team to the win.

The varsity team won in three straight sets by scores of 25-21, 25-22, and 25-23.

Senior captain, Emily Hairr, had a great game on the back row. She had 6 service points, 4 aces, and 9 digs.

Sophomore Hannah Lucas played well again for the Lady Raiders added 7 kills and 12 service points from the front row.

Libero Leah Williams had 13 service points, 7 aces, and 15 digs. Autumn Byrd added 20 assists to close out the win.

“It was a good win for us tonight,” said Midway’s head coach, Jennifer Naylor. “We are continuing to get strong play from everyone, and we are really playing together as a team.”

The varsity’s record improves to 3-1 in conference play, while the JV improves to 4-0. They are slated to host Trask on Thursday.
