Lakewood’s Lady Leopard softball team hosted Princeton on Tuesday night for their final home game of the season. Princeton jumped on the Lady Leps early with a strong display of hitting and never looked back in an 11-0 shutout win over Lakewood.

Lakewood head coach Dave Yarasheski said after the game, “overall our girls played better defensively, you have to give Princeton credit they hit the ball. Madison Tart did a really good job for us tonight in the circle but that is a really good hitting team. That is the reason they are at the top of the conference, they are tough to get out.”

Leading the Lady Leopard offensively were Madison Tart who went 1 for 2 with a single, Summer Thigpin had a single going 1 for 2. The loss to Princeton drops Lakewood to 1-12 on the season, they will finish out the regular season with a doubleheader on Thursday night at Hobbton.
