The Hobbton Wildcat soccer team hosted the Tigers of James Kenan Wednesday. The final score was 3-1, Kenan.

Wildcat coach Jonathan Jacobs noted that mistakes plagued his team early.

“They were up 2-0 at the half. They scored on 3 mistakes,” said Jacobs. “I thought we out played them. In the first half, it was pretty even, anybody could have scored. They scored on 2 mistakes. In the second half, I felt we had more possessions, more momentum. It was just mistakes that cost us the game. We were just never a team in the second half.”

The loss drops Hobbton to 4-9-2 on the year. They are now 3-4-1 in the Carolina 1A Conference.

The Wildcats travel to Princeton Monday.
