Clinton takes golf match

The Clinton Dark Horses took the first conference golf match of the year on Monday when they blitzed the field at Coharie Country Club. Midway finished second, and Union finished third.

Clinton was led by Amy Wooten, who shot an impressive 75. Reid Darden shot 77, Chandler Perry shot 80, and Garrett Jordan shot 97. It was a total of 329.

Midway was led by Trey Pope who shot 87. Clay Honeycutt shot 91, Ben Edwards shot 90, and Jordan Sullivan shot 94.

Union was led by a 78 from Evan Johnson. Brady Roberts and Colby Peterson each shot 98 for the Spartans, and Nick Peterson shot a 104.

The golfers are back in action on Wednesday when they are set to go to White Lake to play the Vineyard Golf Course.
