A Sampson County man was placed under more than $100,000 bond following an arrest made due to a domestic violence protective order violation.
Last Tuesday, Sampson County deputies responded to 4321 Welcome School Road, Godwin, in reference to suspect, Timothy Lambert, 43, of 3509 Reddy Branch Road, Eastover, in violation of a domestic violence protective order.
According to deputies’ reports, Lambert was continuing to drive by the victim residence. While in route and speaking with the victim, deputies passed Lambert’s truck traveling away from the area of the victims residence. Deputies stopped Lambert on Fayetteville Hwy at Martin Road in Godwin where Lambert was placed under arrest for an outstanding warrant.
On scene, authorities asked Lambert if he had any weapons, to which he advised law enforcement that his handgun was present in the truck. The handgun was seized and collected as evidence.
Lambert was charged with domestic violence protective order violation, and possession of a firearm while in violation of the order. Lambert was also served with the warrant for a domestic violence protective order violation and was placed in the Sampson County detention center.
His bond was $140,000, no court date was known at this time.
